FORMS
OF TRIANGULATION
In a triangulation survey, the shape and span of the area is considered. Different shapes are formed by arranging the triangles. Their detail is as under:
1. Chain of Single Triangles.
2. Chain of Double Triangles.
If an area is in the form of a Narrow Strip, and the survey is needed accurately then a double chain of triangles is arranged. In it, the length of the common middle line segment is calculated with the help of the two triangles. In this way, the survey can be checked desirably.
3. Chain of Quadrilaterals.
In the triangular survey, such types of triangles are very much suitable for good results. The area for survey is arranged in such chain of triangles that the continuous chain of triangles in the form of quadrilaterals is given. In such arrangements, the diagonals of the quadrilaterals are directed inside. No station is set up at the intersection points of these diagonals. In this way, survey work is carried out successfully with less cost.
4. Chain of Hexagons.
In this triangulation survey, sis triangles are so adjusted that they form a hexagon. Then another hexagon is connected to this hexagon. In fact, this forms a Triple Chain of triangles. In this way, a Survey is carried out successfully with much quality and less cost.
5. Grid Iron System.
